Job summary

Campers Inn RV in Ocala, FL is seeking a Parts Manager to lead a profitable, efficient parts department within our service-centric dealership.

You will manage budgeting, inventory, pricing, staff, and compliance, while ensuring excellent customer service and smooth internal workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years of experience in an automotive parts department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• This is a safety sensitive position.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager for timely turnaround of parts for internal jobs.
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department.
• Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales.
• Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
• Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees.
• Monitor parts department employees' payroll records.
• Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints immediately and according to dealership guidelines.
• Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business.
• Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.

Essential Job Functions

Qualifications

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• License & Certifications:
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
• Experience:
• Five years of experience in an automotive parts department is preferred
• Some sales experience is required
• Abilities:
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines
• Ability to use a computer and other office equipment
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge or ability to learn company system applications, including Motility Systems2K and other applicable software
• Requires continuous visual ability for use of computer, files, and reports
• Ability to bend or sit for long periods of time
• Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
