Job summary

General Motors Dealership is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to lead the Parts Department. The role requires strong automotive parts knowledge, dealership experience, leadership, and the ability to manage inventory, profitability, and customer service.

The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, maintain inventory levels, use GM RIM and other GM parts-management systems, and train staff while collaborating with Service, Body Shop, and Sales teams to ensure parts are available

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive dealership Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager experience preferred.
  • General Motors dealership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GM parts, catalogs, ordering systems, and dealership operations.
  • Experience with GM RIM or similar inventory-management programs.
  • Proven ability to manage inventory and control expenses.
  • Strong leadership and employee-development skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with dealership management systems.

  • Ensure accurate billing, warranty parts procedures, and compliance with GM dealership standards.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and resolve parts-related customer concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Parts Department.
