Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department is preferred.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to interpret vendor catalogs and use the parts department computer system.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments and verify information against invoices and records.
• Determine method of shipment using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
• Keep bins, aisles and storage areas clean and labeled; maintain records.
• Unpack and examine shipments, reject damaged items and coordinate with shipper to resolve issues.
• Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications and maintain inventory of shipping materials.
• Operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) as needed.
