Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC in the Knoxville area is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to manage parts receiving, packing, and outbound shipping. You will also assist counter sales, maintain accurate inventory records, and help keep the warehouse organized and safe.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, logging shipments, coordinating with customers, and performing other duties as assigned. Prior parts warehouse experience is preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Experience dealing with the public in sales/service capacity.

Responsibilities

• Packs and ships parts to outlying customers in the most efficient manner.
• Maintains a log of all outgoing shipments and all shipping and receiving damages or shortages as well as other documents necessary to protect the inventory investments.
• Stocks all parts into the proper location in the parts warehouse after they have been checked in.
• Operates forklift truck.
• Assists Counter Salesmen when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
