Job summary

Schneider National in Houston, TX is seeking a Parts Coordinator to serve as the main expert of inventory management in the shop. You will maintain the quantity, accuracy and availability of all parts inventory and coordinate with shop leadership, technicians and the parts team to ensure timely, accurate stock.

As a member of the shop leadership team, you will advise on inventory performance metrics, maintain compliance with guidelines, and provide training back-up with off-hours support when

Qualifications

• Technical degree in inventory management or related field, or a minimum of one year of parts inventory experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with shop leadership, technicians and the parts team to provide accurate and timely parts inventory.
• Participate as a member of the shop leadership team and advise the Shop Manager on inventory performance metrics.
• Ensure shop inventory is maintained in accordance with established guidelines.
• Act as a training back-up and provide off-hours support when necessary.
