RTX is seeking an inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, gages, and equipment. The role requires following procedures and documenting results to support a major WIP burndown effort in aerospace manufacturing.
You will use fixed and variable measuring tools, maintain the inspection stamp, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed. Weekend shifts are included with overtime potential.
Perform dimensional and visual inspection following standardized methods and established techniques, which may involve surface plate work, or standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gages or other equipment and accept or reject material based on findings.
Directly support the GTF Ducts & Seals (DNS) Cell in a major WIP burndown effort to support the fleet! High visibility and potential for growth through demonstrated performance. Work to approved procedures, drawings, and Engine Manuals to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment. Document inspection findings and disposition parts as acceptable or requiring repair based on your findings. Integrate with the existing team to foster a collaborate and problem-solving environment. Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
Perform mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance, & document. Recognize the need for, and arrange for, the repair or replacement of measuring equipment. Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives. Must maintain Inspection stamp. Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime. This is a Weekend Shift , Friday -Sunday , 6:00am-6:30pm.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
