Job summary

Muncie Power Products is seeking a Parts Finisher in Tulsa, OK. This full-time role sits in the Machining department and focuses on deburring and preparing machined parts for finishing, using a variety of tools and maintaining safety and cleanliness on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read written instructions. A forklift license is required, with opportunities for growth within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deburr and clean machined parts to company standards.
• Use basic hand tools and equipment to prepare parts for further processing.
• Partially dismantle equipment and perform clean-up and minor maintenance.
• Lift and move lightweight to moderate-weight objects.
• Inspect parts to operational requirements.
• Complete work orders and report labor hours and pieces completed.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Communicate production status to supervisor and shift personnel.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’re a specialist with a keen eye for removing burrs from machined parts and preparing parts for finished products.

• Deburr and clean machined parts to company standards
• Use a variety of basic hand tools and equipment to prepare parts for further processing, including, but not limited to, Sweco vibrating tub, Baldor bench grinder, down draft deburr bench, wash tank, disc sander, rotary file, hand file, sand deburring tools, and air hose
• Partially dismantle equipment and tools, and perform clean-up and minor maintenance
• Lift and move lightweight to moderate-weight objects
• Inspect parts to operational requirements
• Responsible for completing work orders and reporting labor hours worked and pieces completed
• Keep the work area clean and orderly
• Communicate production status to supervisor and to shift personnel as required to assure any problems and/or schedules are understood

YOUR EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to attain and maintain a forklift license
