As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for the prompt delivery of truck parts from our facility to customers throughout the area using a small pick-up truck or box truck. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of the local area
- Proper and professional greeting upon arrival
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to represent the company professionally
- Communicate relevant policies and procedures to customers regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc.
- Resolve problems, handle conflicts, and make effective decisions
- Safely load, secure, unload, and stage materials during delivery
- Handle unexpected circumstances proficiently
- Basic vehicle knowledge and communicate maintenance and safety concerns to the supervisor
- Basic computer skills
- Attend work as scheduled and be punctual
- Material handling during stocking and delivery
- Require forklift certification and basic warehousing equipment knowledge
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Full range of motion including handling, lifting, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
- Standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods
- Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs., and/or 50 lbs. frequently
- Drive a small pick-up truck or box truck approximately 60% of the time
- Corrected vision and hearing within normal range
- Work under stressful conditions or irregular hours
- Understand and react to vague instructions effectively
- Frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending, or stooping
- Manual dexterity and reaching with hands and arms
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- Warehouse and Parts Counter experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to resolve problems, handle conflicts, and make decisions under pressure
- Ability to analyze information, formulate work plans, and articulate goals
- Effective communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to pass a General Abilities Assessment, background check, physical, and drug screening
