Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to maintain and operate store vehicles and deliver parts to professional customers safely and efficiently. You will collect COD payments and handle customer returns, supporting store operations.

This role requires driving legally, ability to use handheld devices, attention to vehicle maintenance, and strong communication with customers and management to ensure smooth delivery service.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
• Maintain and secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and monies collected.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or damages to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicles are secured at end of day.
• Clock in/out per policy and support additional duties as assigned.
• May assist customers or act as cashier and help with merchandising when needed.
