Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks a Delivery Specialist to operate company vehicles and deliver parts to professional customers in a safe, efficient manner. You will use handheld devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, log mileage, and perform daily inspections, while keeping vehicles, keys, cards, and money secure.

Beyond delivery duties, you may assist customers, serve as a cashier, and support merchandising tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update mileage, and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and inspected prior to operation.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pickup customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is full and vehicle is locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist customers or act as cashier as needed and help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
