Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate company vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, and collect COD payments while ensuring safety and efficiency. You will use handheld devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, and track mileage, with daily vehicle inspections and secure handling of keys, fuel cards, and monies.

Qualifications include a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; bilingual abilities (Spanish) are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
• Maintain and inspect delivery vehicles and keep them clean and secure.
• Collect monies on COD deliveries and handle customer returns.
• Pickup customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store management.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicles are secured at day’s end.
• Clock in/out per policy; assist customers as needed and support merchandising tasks.
