Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts to customers, and collect payments for COD deliveries. You will also pick up returns, keep equipment secure, and assist with merchandising as needed.

The role requires safe driving, device proficiency, and excellent communication. Bilingual ability (Spanish) is a plus, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state drivers license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
• Desired: Familiar with automotive parts.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections using fleet devices.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained, perform daily inspections before operation.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or damages to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist with customer service, stocking, merchandising, or errands as needed.
