Job summary

Boyd Company is seeking a delivery driver to service our parts territory. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to load and unload parts and crates. You will deliver to customers, maintain the truck, and keep daily logs up to date.

Responsibilities

• Loads, delivers and unloads Caterpillar or other equipment parts.
• Maintains truck in safe and clean condition.
• Completes required daily logs, paperwork and records promptly, accurately and legibly.
• Operates material handling equipment to load/unload equipment and components.
• Suggests ideas to improve department procedures and support continuous improvement of related activities.
• Project a positive image by interacting with coworkers, customers and management.
• Communicate with other departments, branches, employees, vendors and customers to resolve concerns.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Loads, delivers and unloads Caterpillar or other equipment parts as needed
• Maintains truck in safe and clean condition
• Completes required daily logs, paperwork and records promptly, accurately and legibly
• Operates material handling equipment to load/unload equipment and components
• Recommend to manager ideas to improve the departments operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes
• Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude; comply with company dress code
• Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly
• Follow all work, safety rules, and procedures
• Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
