Job summary

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a Parts Delivery Driver to deliver parts to customers and pick up parts from suppliers for the dealership. You will coordinate with the parts manager, verify payments, and keep accurate delivery logs.

Maintain the truck, assist with stock orders, and uphold a professional image of the department. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read safety rules, write routine reports, and perform basic math.

Qualifications

• Requires reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units; compute rates and ratios.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and handle problems with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Coordinate last-minute pickups or deliveries with parts manager or shipping/receiving clerk.
• Verify payments received against invoices for each delivery.
• Maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries and pickups; obtain recipient signatures.
• Load vehicle with appropriate parts for deliveries.
• Perform basic maintenance on the truck, monitor fuel, oil, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Advise parts manager if trucks require major repairs or maintenance.
• Maintain professional appearance of the parts department.
• Assist with stock orders to expedite delivery.
