Purpose of Position: Under the supervision of the Parts Manager, the Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up parts from customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Delivering parts and equipment to customers and vendors.
  • Coordinating pickup and delivery needs with the Parts Manager, parts counter staff or inventory control clerks.
  • Completing paperwork at the time of delivery and ensuring recipient signatures are obtained.
  • Loading trucks, accounting for all paperwork, undelivered parts and returns.
  • Maintaining the basic upkeep and cleanliness of the truck.
  • Able to safely drive vehicles with automatic transmission.
  • Good understanding of the area and able to navigate from maps and directions.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, road signs, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customer, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Preferred Education:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Preferred Experience:

  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Drivers License
