Summary
Deliver and pick up parts and equipment for the dealership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
- Check with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter persons, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
- Verify items match invoice and that there is a purchase order for any pick-ups.
- Verify part number and quantity match each customer invoice at dealership and upon delivery.
- Check payments received with the invoices for every delivery.
- Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Obtain recipient‘s signature on each delivery entry.
- Unload truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
- Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, maintaining tire proper pressure, wiper blades, checking fluids, keeping van clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
- Advise parts manager if delivery truck(s) need repair and maintenance.
- Notify management of any damage to company property immediately.
- Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Ask customers at each stop if they have anything to return including any core inventory.
- Count and collect cash and or checks.
- Assist in collecting any COD outstanding
- Process core paperwork and return cores to proper locations.
- Process new part paperwork and handle accordingly.
- Work in a team environment.
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Must be able to drive across county and state lines
- Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment
Qualifications

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred
Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification preferred
Valid Driver's License required; must meet company insurability standards
