Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, and collect COD payments. You will use fleet devices, perform daily vehicle inspections, and keep gear secure while supporting store operations.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a valid driver's license. Occasional cashier or merchandising duties may be required to help meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update mileage, and complete inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained, and perform daily inspections before operating.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or accidents to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out per company policy.
• Perform additional duties including stocking, merchandising, and assisting customers as needed.
