Job summary

Elgin Toyota in Streamwood, IL is seeking a motivated Parts Counterperson to support our fast-paced Parts Department. This role emphasizes excellent customer service and accurate parts identification for customers and staff alike.

You will work closely with the Parts Manager, maintain orderly records, and ensure timely processing of special-order parts while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. Training and career growth are emphasized in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Automotive parts sales or parts department experience preferred.
• Toyota experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the parts sales process from beginning to end while providing excellent customer service.
• Assist customers and dealership staff with identifying and locating the correct automotive parts.
• Work closely with the Parts Manager to locate parts that are not currently in stock.
• Process special-order parts requests and communicate order status and availability to customers.
• Maintain accurate parts orders, records, and inventory information.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, technicians, service advisors, and other team members.
• Help maintain an organized, efficient, and customer-focused Parts Department.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
