Job summary

Elgin Toyota, part of Bob Loquercio Auto Group, is seeking a motivated Parts Counterperson to join our growing Parts Department. You will manage the parts sales process from start to finish, assist customers and dealership staff, and collaborate with the Parts Manager to locate parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive parts sales experience preferred.
• Toyota experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Professional appearance and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage the parts sales process from beginning to end while providing excellent customer service.
• Assist customers and dealership staff with identifying and locating the correct automotive parts.
• Work closely with the Parts Manager to locate parts that are not currently in stock.
• Process special-order parts requests and communicate order status and availability to customers.
• Maintain accurate parts orders, records, and inventory information.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, technicians, service advisors, and other team members.
• Help maintain an organized, efficient, and customer-focused Parts Department.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
