Job summary

TRU LAND Equipment is a John Deere dealer with 18 locations across Indiana and Ohio, seeking a Parts Counter Associate. You will sell parts at the counter, support the service department, and deliver outstanding customer service with timely information on products and services.

The role requires a high school diploma (AG field a plus) and 1+ years in parts or sales, plus the ability to lift 75 lb, operate a forklift, and work weekends. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree in an Agriculture field preferred.
• 1+ years of Parts experience or equivalent sales or service experience.
• Experience connecting with customers, maintaining a professional image, and establishing rapport.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of the selling process.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a team setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.
• Valid driver's license and insurance-compatible driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general desktop applications.
• Ability to use a handheld barcode scanner and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Forklift operation will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the counter, over the phone, and to internal staff.
• Maintain positive professional relationships with peers, management, and support resources.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
• Engage with and understand corporate parts promotions.
• Recommend additional related parts or accessories to customers.
• Enforce and monitor efficient Parts Department processes for satisfaction.
• Process orders accurately for in-store and online purchases.
• Locate and obtain merchandise; coordinate with Inventory for non-stock items.
• Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts and issue resolution.
• Keep showroom display professional and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
