Job summary

Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. seeks a Full Time Parts Inside Sales associate for our Swansea, IL location. The role supports customers with parts inquiries and collaborates with Outside Parts Sales Reps to fulfill parts orders.

Key duties include quick responses to requests, handling back-order communications, price checks, inventory handling, and freight coordination, with forklift duties and general warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent
• Parts Department experience
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive or truck mechanics
• Forklift certification preferred
• Ability to lift at least 25–50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer parts or information requests quickly
• Communicate with customers when a Back Order will occur and offer alternatives
• Determine availability and price information and document this information as necessary
• Provide part to customer from stock, procure locally or create a parts order as directed
• Monitor the status of customer orders, advising in case of problems and notifying upon arrival
• Inventory control maintenance
• Capable of loading and unloading of freight with forklift
• Knowledge and able to ship and accept freight from motor carriers, UPS or FedEx
• Other duties as assigned

We are looking for Parts Counter Clerk. This position assists customers with parts inquiries. They also work with the Outside Pars Sales Reps for parts ordering.
