Basil Family Dealerships in Lockport, NY is seeking an experienced Parts Counter Associate to join our automotive team. You will assist customers and service technicians, process orders, educate customers on parts, and maintain inventory to support service operations.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in an automotive parts department, strong cataloging knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an automotive parts department.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and parts cataloging.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Proficient with computer systems and dealership management software.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail customers and service technicians in identifying and ordering the correct parts.
• Process parts orders, returns, and invoices efficiently and accurately.
• Educate customers on all required parts to successfully complete repairs.
• Maintain parts inventory levels and organization.
• Research parts availability, pricing, and warranty information.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Support daily parts department operations and ensure timely delivery to the service department.
• Maintain attention to detail when completing vehicle repair orders.
• Stock incoming inventory in the correct locations.
• Build lasting relationships with customers, vendors, and internal team members.
• Utilize electronic parts catalogs and processing systems effectively.
