Paul Miller Porsche in Parsippany, NJ is hiring for a Parts Clerk to greet customers, process part requests, and manage inventory with accuracy. You will use the catalog system, update records, and support sales of parts and accessories while coordinating with technicians to ensure timely part delivery.

The role requires organization, attention to detail, and the ability to lift objects. Prior warehouse/parts experience is preferred, with a friendly, service‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Must be organized to maintain and manage inventory.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in receiving, verifying, and recording shipments.
• Physically able to lift and move objects of varying weights.
• Capable of communicating effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems; willingness to learn new software.
• Prior experience in parts/warehouse operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers promptly and courteously.
• Answers telephone promptly and courteously; avoids on-hold delays.
• Identify parts needed using the parts catalog system.
• Keep customer information up to date in computer system.
• Assist with additional sales of parts and accessories when appropriate.
• Ensure technicians or customers receive the correct part on time.
• Process special orders and run credit card authorizations.
• Record, tag, and dispose of defective parts as required.
• Return unsold merchandise to stock and verify inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers promptly and courteously
• Answers telephone promptly and courteously, doesn’t leave customers on hold.
• Properly identifying parts needed using parts catalog system.
• Keeps customer information up to date in computer system.
• Attempting to make additional sales of part and accessories
• Making certain that the technicians or customers receive the proper part on time as promised.
• Calling customers for pick up of parts if necessary.
• Completing required documents before disbursing parts.
• Run credit card authorizations.
• Record and process special orders.
• Seeing that defective parts are tagged and disposed of properly.
• Collecting and placing warranty parts in bin area as required
• Returning unsold merchandise to stock.
• Checks in parts as received, matches parking list to parts orders.
• Puts away received parts and special orders in proper bins or locations.
• Noting discrepancies between inventory records and shelf stock quantities.
• Keeping general work area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Pay strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in receiving, verifying, and recording shipments.
• Be physically able to lift and move objects of varying weights.
• Capable of communicating effectively with department colleagues and suppliers.
• Have familiarity of inventory management systems and willing to learn other software.
• Have an understanding of parts and materials being handled within role.
• Prior experience in parts/warehouse operations preferred.
• Clean driving history.
• Be willing to subject to pre-employment background check and drug screening.
