Job summary

Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a qualified Parts Clerk to manage inventory, process orders, and support service teams at our Gary, IN location. You will handle invoicing, shipping, and packaging for whole goods, while ensuring accurate documentation and timely order fulfillment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in construction parts, heavy equipment experience, and a valid Class 5 license. This role emphasizes professionalism with customers and colleagues and involves both indoor and outdoor work

Responsibilities

• Accurate inventory accounting.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized department.
• Communicate with customers on the telephone and at the counter in a professional manner.
• Accurate invoicing and costing on all parts documents daily.
• Timely ordering, shipping, receiving, and expediting of special orders.
• Prepare shipping documents and packaging of whole goods requested by other departments.
• Set-up showroom displays for merchandising.
• Prepare documents for the return of damaged defective, cores, and warrantable parts in a timely manner.
• Weekly/monthly stock orders.
• Assist in addressing complaints and resolving problems relating to Parts Department.
• Assist Parts Manager in finding best buys from outside suppliers.
• Related duties as necessary.

Utilize purchase orders as a matter of company policy. Responsible for meeting the needs and commitments to customers and Service Department - striving for the highest in customer relations

What you will do...

Requirements

Pay Range:

$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
