JOB SUMMARY

Parts Branch Managers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations at their branch. Ensuring that exceptional customer service is upheld and ensuring that the customer is taken care of is critical. Parts inventory management, along with sales to customers both in person and over the phone is a large portion of this position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Management and supervision of all department functions including:
    • Parts Specialist Personnel.
  • Customer part sales both in person & over the phone.
  • Submitting Parts orders to manufacturers.
  • Inventory management.
  • Purchasing & expediting parts for inventory, customers, and technicians.
  • Creating quotes for potential parts sales.
  • Setting an example of strong customer service for staff and dealing with customer issues in a responsive and professional manner.
  • Regular order analysis to stay current with changing demand patterns and considering all aspects of balancing company investments with service levels (on hand vs. back orders for customer service and optimal inventory)
  • Managing warehouse personnel to ensure proper stocking and receiving of all parts.
  • Ensuring that all company processes and procedures are taking place.
  • Keeping informed & up to date on all manufacturer parts policies regarding ordering, returns and cores.
  • Oversee all core returns and part returns to manufacturers.
  • Analyzing monthly reports and taking corrective actions to ensure company protocols are being adhered to and make any corrective actions necessary.
  • Follows and sets up department processes in coordination with upper management.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Shipping & packaging of all customer parts orders, manufacturer returns and intercompany packages.
  • Receiving incoming parts from various vendors & manufacturers into the warehouse and checking them into the company’s operating system against the order for accuracy.
  • Unloading freight from carriers and inspecting the general condition of these packages to ensure they are not damaged.
  • Stocking shelves and ensuring that the placement of all parts & inventory are accurate and all parts away within the warehouse. Ensuring that each part is placed in their appropriate bin location.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse free of loose inventory, clutter, trash, or potential hazards thus insuring a safe work environment.
  • Picks and packs all customer orders for pickup and ensures all orders are complete, then contacts the customer for pickup.
  • Assists with Annual inventory’s, cycle counts, annual returns to vendors and other inventory related tasks.
  • Training & onboarding new staff.
  • Attains short and long-term company objectives for the department.
  • Maintain high employee morale.
  • Ensure proper staffing during the work week and weekends. This includes participating in rotating Saturday hours as well.
  • Monitoring and assuring compliance with safety programs regarding material handlers and motor vehicles.
  • Perform additional duties as required or requested by upper management, to achieve company goals set forth and increase productivity and efficiency within the company.

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to periodically lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to work in an Office & Warehouse environment. Attend manufacturer training seminars both in person and virtual. Some travel required.
