Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring customers’ parts needs are met through exceptional and timely service. The position involves coordinating all aspects of parts ordering—verifying accuracy, managing shipments, and ensuring prompt delivery. Collaboration with Service Technicians is key to ordering the correct parts needed for service calls. Additionally, the role supports overall warehouse operations, maintaining organization and efficiency, while performing inventory control tasks such as stock counts and reconciliation to maintain accurate parts availability throughout the Northeast region.

Customer Service
  • Answer incoming customer calls promptly and courteously.
  • Accept and process orders via phone, fax, email, or through Service Technicians, ensuring accurate data entry and timely ordering of parts.
  • Assist with part research to verify that the correct parts are ordered.
  • Apply appropriate discounts to customers when applicable.
  • Follow up with manufacturers and customers to confirm parts are shipped and received promptly.
  • Address customer concerns courteously and effectively.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support customer satisfaction and business success.
Inventory Control
  • Assist with the reorder and restock of parts in the warehouse and service vans to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Support the Northeast Operations Manager in setting and maintaining proper product mix and reorder levels.
  • Rotate stock regularly to prevent inventory obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with the Northeast Service Manager to ensure proper stocking of service vans.
Physical Demands & Requirements
  • Frequently lift 30–50 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds safely.
  • Move around the office and warehouse as needed to access file cabinets, office machinery, and parts.
  • Safely operate a forklift to transport equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and manufacturers via phone.

Work environments vary depending on the specific task and may involve exposure to dust, heat, dirt, humidity, and moving mechanical components. Appropriate safety protocols must be followed at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Formal training and education in electrical and mechanical repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with reading electrical schematics is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of machinery and tools, including their design, application, repair, and maintenance.
  • Proven experience in operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
