We are hiring a Parts & Technical Support Manager who is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to perform under pressure. This position is key to enhancing the efficiency of the Technical Service Department at both corporate and branch levels, ensuring effective service delivery and improving customer and technical support experiences. Experience in the packaging industry and familiarity with packaging equipment are highly beneficial.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a Parts & Technical Support Document Library for quick reference, simplified ordering, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and update Parts price lists and SKUs within the library.
  • Collaborate with packaging machinery suppliers to identify machine models and organize parts by model and serial number.
  • Manage and organize manuals, drawings, schematics, and spare parts lists for both stock equipment and customer assets by serial number.
  • Establish and maintain contacts with Parts & Machinery suppliers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for pricing, discounts, and estimates to ensure competitive and accurate pricing for customer service and technical teams.
  • Oversee the Technical Service SharePoint, NetSuite document hubs, and future customer-facing Parts and Technical Service Portals.
  • Track parts sales and identify opportunities for growth with existing and new customers.
  • Support parts investigations, address quality issues, and meet customer needs within the Technical Service Department.
  • Manage parts ordering processes to ensure prompt, accurate customer service and seek continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the rollout of Parts and Technical Service initiatives and programs.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on parts and service promotions, serving as the primary liaison.
  • Participate in training and workshops to stay current with technological advancements and equipment offerings.
  • Support other departmental operations and projects as needed, demonstrating strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Background in Technical Service or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ related experience or equivalent education and experience.

Competencies:

  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude for learning new software.
