Job summary

Sharp Packaging Services seeks an Inventory Coordinator to manage spare parts replenishment and coordinate external service contractors for customer owned equipment at our Allentown area facilities. The role focuses on building annual inventory audits and maintaining up-to-date parts lists across assets.

You will interface with OEMs, manage parts budgets, generate order summaries for finance, and support shop mechanics with data-driven parts planning in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Five years related experience or training.
  • Must be fluent in MS Office including Excel.
  • Inventory management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage spare parts inventory system.
  • Manage inventory levels and reorder points.
  • Interface with OEMs and service coordinators.
  • Prepare parts order summaries for billing and finance.
  • Coordinate preventive and emergency maintenance with outside contractors.
  • Oversee maintenance documentation workflow.

SUMMARY

Coordinate outside service contractors for customer owned equipment, including reoccurring PM’s and maintenance activities. Organize spare parts inventory for onsite industrial equipment and manage part replenishment. These activities will require the development of annual inventory audits and a process for managing the continuously developing parts lists. The spare part replenishment activities will also require individual customer/OEM interface, and budget management and reporting per equipment asset.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the development of the spare parts inventory management system. This development will be viewed as an ongoing evolution based on current and emerging needs of the business.
  • Manage inventory levels based on part usage needs
  • Reorder and replenish parts when inventory levels reach the reorder point.
  • Interface with equipment OEMs and aftermarket service coordinators.
  • Manage customer parts and maintenance budgets and provide parts order summaries to internal and external finance groups for billing purposes.
  • Coordinate with outside service coordinators to schedule reoccurring preventative and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Oversee the preventative and on-demanded maintenance activities within the business unit through the digital maintenance documentation system.
  • Capable of self-motivation, working with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a self-starter, persuasive and flexible in actions in a fast-paced production environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities but will be required to provide technical and part specific support to the Mechanics and Electricians during operations and ongoing troubleshooting activities.

PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experienced in inventory management a plus.
  • Must be fluent in MS Office including Excel.
