Job summary

Sudden Service, INC is seeking a Sales/Field Service Representative in Gonzales, LA to drive sales of equipment, parts, service, rentals and rebuilds for Taylor Forklift and generator lines. You will develop new customers while maintaining existing accounts, attend trade shows, and collaborate with field staff to grow service opportunities.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, a valid driver's license, and occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; company vehicle will be used.
• Willingness to overnight travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Generates sales of equipment & generator parts, service, rentals, and rebuilds on Taylor Forklift and generator make and models.
• Quotes services in the field and work with all customer relations.
• Develop new customers in assigned territory while maintaining current accounts.
• Attend industry trade shows and conferences to strengthen the company brand and develop customer relationships.
• Create and implement strategies for generator service and rental growth.
• Work closely with the sales representatives to develop a relationship with their customers to gain service opportunities.
• Incumbent is to provide a detailed call report to the Sudden Service Manager weekly to discuss customer concerns and demands in the field.
• Maintains and submits accurate and timely expense reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of computers
• Excellent communication skills
• Possess tact and diplomacy with customer base and peers.
• Incumbent must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record, since employees will be driving company owned vehicle and will be covered under corporate insurance which has strict coverage requirements.
• Incumbents will be required on occasion to stay overnight at out-of-town locations.

Education and Experience:

• High School Education or GED equivalent
