Parkway Kia South is preparing to open its doors, and we’re seeking an organized, customer‑focused Automotive Parts Advisor / Parts Counterperson to join our founding team in Texas.

As part of the Parkway Family Auto Group, you will support technicians, service advisors, wholesale customers, and retail guests in a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art dealership with a team‑oriented culture and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts or dealership experience preferred.
• Experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Counterperson, Parts Specialist, or Parts Sales Associate is a plus.
• Knowledge of automotive parts catalogs and inventory systems preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and dealership management system experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move automotive parts as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assists wholesale customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Notifies the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts.
• Receives payment from wholesale customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
• Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
• Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
