Job summary

John Banks Honda Colchester invites applications for an Apprenticeship as a Parts Advisor. You will learn to order, sell, and manage stock of vehicle parts and accessories while supporting service departments and customers.

Training is provided via a blend of virtual classes and on-site weeks at a modern training centre, with travel and accommodation covered for institute sessions. Upon completion, you earn apprenticeship qualifications and brand certifications.

Qualifications

• GCSE grades 9–4 (A–C) in English, Maths & one other subject
• In Scotland, applicants must have or be predicted to achieve Scottish National 5 Grades A–C in English and Maths
• Equivalent grades include: BTEC first diplomas and certificates, OCR Nationals, NVQs, Functional Skills Level 2, Core Skills (Scotland)
• We accept predicted grades and conditional offers can be made based on predicted grades

Responsibilities

• Advising customers on how to solve a problem with their vehicle
• Taking orders from customers face to face and over the phone
• Maintaining an ordered stock room and finding parts from stock
• Raising invoices for parts sold
• Liaising with other staff
• Working alongside on-site Service Technicians to ensure parts are available for daily work
