Job summary

Altorfer Inc. is seeking a customer-focused parts counter associate to enhance the customer experience by tracking orders, routing calls, processing vendor purchases, and supporting front counter sales.

The role involves office and warehouse work with a requirement to lift up to 75 lbs and use basic IT tools. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Qualifications

Working Hours/Days

Working Hours: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday - Friday

Overview

This role has been created to enhance the customer experience from the perspective of a flawless idiology of receive it, stock-it, sell-it, and ensure our customer receives their solution deliver on time, correctly and greatfull they chose Altorfer Caterpillar.

Basic Duties

• Customer and internal order tracking.
• Customer call routing
• Process vendors purchasing.
• Assist with customer parts counter sales pickup and bill payment.
• Manage cash transactions and accounting,balancing end of month.
• Contribute to the overall positive customer service of the front counter.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous parts counter selling or consulting experience a plus.
• Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to detail.
• Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills required and MUST have used programs such as: Word, Excel and Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
• Good phone answering skills: prior operator experience
• Must be able to handle general math calculations with money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Payrate: Min: $23/hr. Max: $26/hr.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in both office and warehouse environments. May, on a continuous basis sit at a desk for long periods of time, answer phone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. May on a continuous basis, walk, bend and lift up to 75 pounds. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. safety glasses with side shields and steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level in the office is usually low and the noise level in the warehouse may range from low to moderate. Must be flexible during peak season working overtime as needed. Occasional local travel may be required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
