Job summary

UNFPA invites a Communications Intern for the Private Sector and Civil Society Branch in New York. You will support a partnerships impact report, document journeys and stories, and coordinate editorial and publishing efforts across internal and external audiences.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a degree program with strong writing skills, cross-cultural sensitivity, and a demonstrated interest in development work. The internship is unpaid with a stipend and international exposure.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled in a first university degree programme (bachelor’s degree or equivalent) and have completed one full academic year.
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (master’s or higher).
  • Have recently graduated with a university degree as defined above and, if selected, must start the internship within one year of graduation; or
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional trainee programme and undertake the internship as part of this programme.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the private sector annual impact report.
  • Liaise with Country and Regional Offices to document partnerships, journeys, and stories of impact.
  • Coordinate editorial oversight, graphic design, publishing, and social media for the report.
  • Assist printing, production and publishing of the report.
