Job summary

Freshfields US LLP is looking for a Partner Finance Accountant to support partner remuneration, capital and annuity administration, and strong financial controls. You will work under the guidance of the Partner Finance Senior Accountant and collaborate with Tax, Treasury, Reporting, HR, and legal teams in New York.

The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and effective stakeholder communication. On-site role with potential for collaboration across US offices.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to develop knowledge of Partnership Finance.
• Organised with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with allocation and distribution of partner profit shares, incl. statements.
• Process monthly drawings and related tax reserving and deductions.
• Administer retired partners’ annuity scheme and quarterly statements.
• Support data collation for partner equity forecasting.
• Maintain partner capital records and assist with loan facilities.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and audit processes.
• Assist with compliance with IFRS/GAAP and tax regulations.
• Maintain data in Partnership Finance software and document processes.
