Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer II for our North America Presales team. You will cultivate trusted relationships with partners’ sales and technical leaders to shape the go‑to‑market for Akamai’s platform, and you will collaborate with Channel Sales to grow revenue.

You will enable partners to resell and service Akamai’s products, tailor resources and use cases, and represent partner needs to product, marketing and services to drive partner success.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience in customer-facing technical channel sales or presales
• Understanding of the internet: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL
• Customer advocate with ability to present to diverse audiences
• Team player who can collaborate and adapt in a fast-changing environment
• Experience presenting technical topics to varied audiences

Our Global Channels team is one of the fastest growing areas of Akamai. You'll play an integral part in sales cycles, defining solutions and go‑to‑market sales motion of our partners. You'll be both the channel partners' trusted advisor and technical expert. Through channel partners, you will work with the Channel Sales team to grow Akamai's strategic products.

As a Partner Solutions Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Developing trusted relationships with partners' sales and technical sales leaders
• Supporting channel sales team to grow the topline revenue through channel partners nationally and regionally
• Enabling our focused partners to resell and service Akamai's strategic products
• Customizing resources such as sales plays, market intelligence and use cases to drive partner sourced opportunities and position Akamai's market differentiations through the partners
• Representing the needs of partners with product teams, marketing, services and support to drive our partners success

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, MIS, related field or its equivalent.
• Have experience working in a customer facing technical channel sales or presales
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, and SSL protocols
• Be a customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
• Demonstrate experience with presenting technical topics to diverse audiences.
• Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $100,700 - $181,300/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
