Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks an experienced attorney to join its insurance defense practice as a Partner in Portland, OR. This senior role leads case management, client relations and mentoring of associates and staff.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of insurance defense experience, a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, and an active license in Oregon and/or Washington. Trial experience is a plus, and the practice spans Oregon and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Defend insureds in litigation matters across general liability, personal injury, property damage, and commercial disputes.
• Manage all aspects of litigated cases: pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft briefs, memos, and pleadings.
• Represent clients in court, depositions, mediations/arbitrations, and trial.
• Collaborate with clients to provide timely coverage advice.
• Maintain ownership and independence in case assignments.

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its insurance defense practice as a Partner in Portland, OR. This role offers a unique opportunity for a litigator to assume a senior position without the need for an existing book of business. The successful candidate will have experience in insurance defense litigation and will lead case management, client relations, and mentoring of associate attorneys and staff. The practice operates throughout Oregon and Washington.

Duties

• Defend insureds in litigation matters, including general liability, personal injury, property damage, and commercial disputes.

Requirements

• A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Oregon and/or Washington.
