Job description

Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’sbiggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

As Partner Experience Director, you will lead the strategy, standards, and team responsible for creating exceptional, highly personalized experiences for Stand Together's philanthropic and business partners. This is relationship orchestration, not event logistics. You will serve as the capability builder, that connects personal‑layer between Stand Together and the leaders who partner with us, building trust not only with those partners but also with the professional teams around them, including Chiefs of Staff, Executive Assistants, and security leads.

You will lead the transformation of Partner Relations into Partner Experience, elevating how we design agendas, seating and room composition, briefings, principal preparation, partner follow-up, recruitment, and retention. Working across Partnerships, Events, Guest Experience, and executive stakeholders, you will establish clear standards, scalable systems, and consistent practices that strengthen relationships before, during, and long after key engagements. Success in this role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, emotional intelligence, and the ability to anticipate needs in complex, high‑stakes environments.

Partner Experience plays a critical role in building the community at the center of Stand Together's development strategy. By understanding what matters most to each partner and intentionally connecting the right leaders to the right people, conversations, and opportunities, you will help deepen relationships, strengthen long‑term engagement, and create a community of principled leaders committed to advancing meaningful societal change. Your leverage comes from building trust, creating clarity, and developing a capability that delivers a consistently exceptional experience without relying on individual heroics.

  • Lead the Partner Experience function and develop a high‑performing team capable of delivering consistent, personalized support at scale.
  • Design and oversee the partner experience across events and year‑round engagement, including agendas, seating, room composition, briefings, principal preparation, and follow‑up.
  • Build trusted relationships with partners and their Executive Assistants, Chiefs of Staff, security leads, and other key members of their professional teams.
  • Anticipate individual needs, preferences, sensitivities, and potential challenges, then translate that insight into thoughtful experiences and timely solutions.
  • Read the room in real time, identify valuable connections, and create environments where partners can build meaningful relationships and advance shared priorities.
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders when plans change or complex needs arise, while maintaining discretion, composure, and attention to detail.
  • Create durable systems, documentation, and data practices so critical partner knowledge is accurate, accessible, and not dependent on any one individual.
  • Define standards and meaningful measures for partner experience, use feedback and results to improve each engagement cycle, and provide clear recommendations to senior leaders.
  • 10+ years of experience serving high‑profile principals, members, guests, or clients in complex, high‑touch environments.
  • Experience leading and developing a team, setting a clear standard of excellence, and influencing work across teams without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high‑level stakeholders and build trust with accomplished leaders and the professional teams around them.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence, with a strong instinct for anticipating needs before they are expressed.
  • Experience coordinating complex, time‑sensitive work across scheduling, transportation, security, hospitality, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to turn relationship knowledge and ad hoc practices into clear, scalable processes, data, and tools.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to represent Stand Together in high‑stakes settings.
  • A community‑minded approach and the ability to consider both the individual partner experience and the composition and dynamics of the broader room.
  • Flexibility to support events, changing schedules, and occasional urgent partner needs. Regular in‑office presence is strongly preferred.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together’s vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
  • Experience in private aviation, luxury hospitality, invitation‑only or private member clubs, professional sports, political campaigns or advance, family offices, or another high‑touch service environment.
  • Experience as an Executive Assistant or Chief of Staff supporting a high‑net‑worth individual, principal, or executive.
  • Experience using CRM, event, or guest‑management systems to capture partner intelligence, coordinate execution, and improve service quality.
  • A track record of building a new capability, team, or operating model in an evolving environment.
  • Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.
  • A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,400 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
  • Commitment to growth: Thrive in a non‑hierarchical environment that empowers employees to discover, develop, and apply their unique talents.
