Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Partner for the Electric Transmission Advisory Practice to expand across Texas. This leadership role shapes strategy, influences the market, and guides major infrastructure projects nationwide.

You will drive siting, routing, and regulatory strategies (CPCNs, NEPA/EA/EIS), mentor multidisciplinary teams, grow client relationships with utilities and developers, and contribute to ERM’s North America leadership.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in transmission siting/routing, environmental permitting, impact assessment, or regulatory strategy.
  • Strong relationships with utilities, developers, or transmission owners.
  • Experience in the Texas market (ERCOT/PUCT expertise strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated leadership delivering complex capital projects.
  • Commercial and business development acumen.
  • Preferred: ERCOT market design, interconnection strategy, or PUCT testimony.
  • Background in grid modernization, long-range transmission planning, or strategic advisory.

Benefits

For the Partner, Electric Transmission & Distribution position, the anticipated annual base pay is $175,000 – $220,000 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. The role may be eligible for bonus pay, though bonus eligibility varies by employment status.
