Job description

Fulcrum Digital is a business platform and digital engineering services company partnering with global leaders across fintech, insurance, higher education, and e-commerce. Founded in 1999, we now support 100+ clients worldwide with 1,300+ employees across the US, LATAM, Europe, and India. Our consulting-led suite of enterprise-grade products and solutions is built on expertise in digital transformation, machine learning, and emerging technologies.

The role

The Partner Director is a senior client-facing leader who connects business stakeholders, IT leadership, and development and delivery teams to achieve measurable outcomes across P&C Insurance transformation and operational programs. The role translates strategic business priorities into executable technology roadmaps, validates solution direction, and provides clear governance through delivery, release, and ongoing operations.

The ideal candidate combines excellent executive and operational communication skills with strong knowledge of the P&C insurance business and sufficient technical fluency to challenge assumptions, clarify requirements, and guide practical solutions. This leader has demonstrated success directing mission-critical, high-availability, high-risk programs where delivery quality, regulatory awareness, operational resilience, and stakeholder confidence are essential.

What you'll do

  • Build trusted strategic partnerships with client business leaders, IT executives, program sponsors, and operational stakeholders; establish a clear understanding of business objectives, priorities, constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements, process needs, and regulatory considerations into prioritized technology capabilities, delivery backlogs, roadmaps, and measurable acceptance criteria.
  • Align business, architecture, product, engineering, quality, security, data, and operations teams around a common delivery strategy, operating model, governance cadence, and decision framework.
  • Lead executive governance, steering-committee discussions, status communication, decision forums, and escalation paths; communicate progress, trade-offs, risks, and recovery plans in clear business language.
  • Manage cross-workstream dependencies, assumptions, delivery risks, scope changes, vendor coordination, and issue resolution for complex transformation and operational initiatives.
  • Validate that proposed solutions are aligned to P&C business processes, customer and user needs, operational supportability, security, privacy, compliance, and agreed business value.
  • Provide delivery assurance across planning, requirements, design, build, test, cutover, release, hypercare, and transition-to-run activities.
  • Drive release readiness, service continuity, operational resilience, incident communication, and crisis coordination for high-availability, high-risk services.
  • Promote collaborative, accountable ways of working across client and partner teams; coach leaders and teams on stakeholder alignment, decision quality, and delivery discipline.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, platform capabilities, data use, automation, customer experience, and the overall technology roadmap.

P&C Insurance SME Expectations:

  • Policy administration, product configuration, policy lifecycle events, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and policy servicing.
  • Underwriting, risk selection, rating, pricing, quote-to-bind processes, and underwriting workbench capabilities.
  • Claims operations, including FNOL, intake, adjudication, reserves, payments, recoveries, subrogation, litigation support, and settlement.
  • Billing, payments, collections, commissions, receivables, and related customer or producer servicing processes.
  • Distribution models, agents, brokers, partner ecosystems, digital channels, and customer self-service experiences.
  • Data, reporting, analytics, data quality, regulatory reporting, operational metrics, and insurance performance measures.
  • Compliance, market conduct, audit controls, privacy, security, and regulatory expectations applicable to insurance operations.

Mission-Critical Delivery and Governance

  • Lead governance for high-availability and business-critical programs, including decision logs, risk and dependency reviews, quality gates, change control, and escalation protocols.
  • Ensure delivery plans address non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, recoverability, security, privacy, observability, supportability, and disaster-recovery readiness.
  • Oversee readiness assessments for major releases and cutovers, including test evidence, operational procedures, rollback planning, stakeholder communications, and hypercare coverage.
  • Coordinate effective incident and crisis communications among business owners, IT leaders, service teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders; ensure follow-up actions are owned and tracked.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-implementation reviews, root-cause analysis, operational metrics, and lessons learned.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable insurance regulatory, security, audit, and privacy obligations and ensure these needs are incorporated into program and solution governance.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 7+ Years Senior Leadership: Proven experience leading complex business, technology, transformation, or operational programs.
  • P&C Insurance Expertise: Deep understanding of core processes across policy, underwriting, claims, billing, distribution, data, and compliance.

  • Experience with cloud, data platforms, API integrations, automation, analytics, or AI-enabled modernization initiatives.
  • Background in managed services, SLAs, incident management, and transition-to-run operations.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams.
  • Relevant industry certifications or advanced education.
