Pacer Group in SF, California is seeking a Business & Commercial Litigation Partner to join its California litigation practice, with remote, hybrid, and onsite flexibility.

The ideal candidate will manage complex disputes from inception through resolution, develop litigation strategy, handle pleadings and depositions, and communicate with clients and experts. This role offers significant case ownership, mentorship, competitive compensation, and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience handling business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Trial experience is required.
• Active California Bar license and admission for CA positions.
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to lead a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Excellent communication and client-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and exposure.
• Handle pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct complex legal research and factual analysis.
• Analyze contracts, business disputes, and commercial claims.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Manage multiple matters independently while maintaining high-quality work product.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and exposure.
• Handle pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.

• Excellent communication and client-management skills.
• Active California Bar license and admission required for California positions.
