Job summary

ConnectOne Bank is seeking a Participation Administrator to process participation loan transactions, mailed payments, and lockbox postings. You’ll support loan operations and maintain accounts with accuracy in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong "People First" mindset and ability.
• Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, CRA, ADA, Right to Financial Privacy Act, GLBA, Regulation E and US PATRIOT Act.
• Familiarity with bank security and safety practices.
• Knowledge of CNOB products and services.
• Knowledge of loan documentation including maintenance, review and filing.
• Knowledge of participation loans.
• 2-3 years participation loan processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Process all participation transactions for internal and external accounts.
• Process mailed payments and monitor lockbox postings.
• Print and review daily maintenance reports and supporting documents.
• Process loan transactions submitted via email group for branches and external customers.
• Obtain approvals from account officers on advance requests.
• Perform general maintenance on accounts such as address changes and ACH requests.

About this role:

The Participation Administrator is responsible for processing all participation loan transactions, such as payments, credits, advances, wires, rate changes and aiding in processing non-participation transactions as well. Will also process mailed payments and check the lockbox payment website to ensure payments are posted and exception items are decisioned.

In this role you will:

• Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
• Process all participation transactions, both internal and external including advances, credits, and debits to checking accounts.
• Process mailed check payments.
• Monitor Checkalt website to ensure lockbox payments are posted properly.
• Utilize and print daily maintenance reports. Review changes and provides backup documents for maintenance performed on accounts.
• Processe loan transactions for branches, loan officers, and external customers submitted via Loan Operations email group.
• Ensure that emails requests to process payments, dda credits, loan advances, etc. balances to the Loan Control GL.
• Obtain approvals from respective account officers on advance requests.
• Perform general maintenance on accounts such as change of address and auto transfer/ACH requests.

Must haves:

• Strong “People First” interest and ability.
• Knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Regulation E and US PATRIOT Act.
• Familiarity with Bank security and safety practices.
• Knowledge of CNOB products and services.
• Knowledge of loan documentation including maintenance, review and filing of loans.
• Knowledge of participation loans.
• 2-3 years Participation Loan Processing experience.
