Handle inbound calls regarding benefits, eligibility, and claims, providing accurate and empathetic support.
Research and resolve benefit inquiries, coordinating with internal teams to identify root causes.
Interpret and explain healthcare benefit plans, policies, and eligibility requirements to participants and external partners.
Maintain and update participant records across claims and eligibility systems.
Review documentation, verify information, and request additional records as needed.
Coordinate claim adjustments, payment corrections, and reimbursement recoveries while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Explain medical, disability, life insurance, and weekly illness and injury benefits programs.
Process stop payments, void requests, and other benefit-related transactions.
Scan, index, and maintain documentation within electronic imaging systems.
Collaborate across departments to support daily operations, cross-train, and improve processes.
Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Previous call center, customer service, healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration experience preferred.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort handling confidential information professionally and discreetly.
