Job summary

College Medical Center Long Beach PHP is seeking a Per-Diem Registered Nurse to support our expanding PHP programs across Los Angeles.

The RN must be a graduate of a nursing program with a nursing degree or diploma, hold a California RN license, and be BLS certified. The role involves travel between facilities and does include administrative duties within an outpatient psychiatric setting. Saturdays eight-hour shifts are noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing school with degree or diploma in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in psychiatric outpatient nursing.
• California RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and technical nursing care at PHP sites.
• Note this is an administrative-leaning nursing role.
• Admit patients and coordinate care across facilities.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education for a wide age range.
• Maintain documentation and carry out physician orders accurately.
• Assess patient condition changes and notify the psychiatrist promptly.
• Travel between College Medical Center locations as needed.

Job Summary

CMC Long Beach PHP is looking for a Per-Diem Registered Nurse for our expanding PHP Programs through out Los Angeles. The RN will travel between facilities as needed. You must be a Graduate of a school of nursing with degree/diploma in Nursing. Minimum of one-year clinical experience in psychiatric nursing in an outpatient setting. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to PHP clients. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing Outpatient PHP Program. This position will help cover when we need help through out our locations.

The schedule is Saturdays. 8 hour shifts.

Job Duties

• Current California RN license and AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Card.
• Provide professional and technical skills and services.
• Must be understand this is a more administrative position.
• Will be admitting patients
• Provide safety, comfort, protection, and education to a population that includes young adult to elderly patients.
• Previous knowledge and experience of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing preferred.
• Provide and direct patient care.
• Interview, collect, and analyze data from patients.
• Ability to document and carry out physician orders.
• Ability to identify patient changes in condition and notify the psychiatrist.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for College Medical Center, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that College Medical Center in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
