Job summary

The Sanford Center is seeking a Zamboni Operator/Ice Crew member in Bemidji, MN. This part-time role supports ice operations, performing resurfacing and maintenance while assisting with events.

The ideal candidate can lift up to 50 pounds, works well in a fast-paced venue, and is available for evenings, weekends, and event days. Hockey knowledge is preferred and training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Hockey knowledge or experience preferred.
• Previous Zamboni/ice rink/arena experience is a plus, training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Zamboni and ice-maintenance equipment as trained.
• Resurface ice and perform routine ice maintenance.
• Assist with setup, cleanup and ice crew duties before, during and after events.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized rink and surrounding areas.
• Follow safety procedures and venue policies.
• Assist with hockey games, practices, tournaments and other ice events.
• Collaborate with venue operations to ensure events run smoothly.
