Job summary

FLIPANY is seeking a part-time instructor to deliver hands-on wellness and nutrition education to youth across South Florida. The role involves mentoring students in social‑emotional learning and healthy lifestyle activities in classroom settings.

Class times are Monday through Friday, 1:30–6:00 p.m., with some per diem opportunities. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience with groups of children, a background in child development or related social sciences, and a valid Florida

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience working with groups of children.
Background in Child Development/Behavior, Psychology, or other Social Sciences through education or hands‑on experience.
Valid Florida Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to program sites.

Responsibilities

Arrive prepared to each class with all materials, supplies, and equipment packed and ready.
Deliver in-person wellness and nutrition education classes to groups of 15–20 youth.
Guide youth through hands-on activities including healthy cooking, gardening, and nutrition education.
Maintain a positive and structured learning environment and address behavioral challenges.
Plan ahead for each class by reviewing curriculum and scheduling details.
