Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a part-time Youth Service Coordinator to plan and deliver service-learning programs for high school students in grades 9-12. The role may involve before/after school activities, evenings and weekends, with a 20-hour weekly schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating projects, promoting programs, collecting participation data, and partnering with community organizations to meet program goals. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in field related to youth development, or K-12 education preferred.
• Experience in a school based setting preferred.
• Experience working with community and non-profit organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with high school students to plan, organize, and provide service-learning opportunities.
• Promote, publicize, and assess youth service-learning programs and services.
• Monitor, collect, evaluate specific program participation data.
• Coordinate student recognition opportunities/events, as appropriate.
• Recruit staff and/or volunteers to occasionally assist with service trips/projects.
• Collaborate with other district staff when appropriate.
• Partner with community organizations to facilitate service opportunities.
• Meet established program goals and standards.
• Perform other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
