Job summary

The Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch in Shelby, MT is hiring a Therapeutic Youth Mentor to support youth with mental health services. You will build trusting relationships, model healthy behavior, and assist in implementing treatment goals with the treatment team.

Join a multidisciplinary workplace where you document in the EHR, participate in supervision, and help youths develop life skills, emotional regulation, and social competencies in homes, schools, and community settings.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and able to pass background checks as required by MT.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Driver's license to operate a passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, professional relationships with youth.
• Model healthy choices and boundaries.
• Support treatment plan goals with therapists.
• Facilitate skill-building in communication and daily living.
• Co‑lead youth activities in community settings.
• Provide crisis support per agency protocols.
• Document in the EHR accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with therapists, families, and partners.
• Participate in supervision and trainings.
• Be culturally aware of youth and families served.
