Job summary

The Children’s Village is seeking a part-time Recreation Assistant to support after-school and summer camp programs for youth in New York. You will assist Recreation Specialists in delivering social, educational, and recreational activities, promote youth participation, and help manage program logistics and supplies.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and 6 months to 1 year of experience working with youth, with preference for those familiar with after-school or summer programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 6 months to 1 year experience working with youth.
• Experience in after-school or summer programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Recreation Specialists in implementing social, education and recreational programs for youth.
• Promote participation amongst youth and maintain supplies and equipment during the after school and summer camp program.
• Supervise program participants through behavior management and program development.
