Job summary

Children's Home is seeking a Part-time BOOST program staff member to run youth activities 13-21 years old, on Mon/Wed 2:30-6pm and Fri 2:30-8pm, at the Southern Tier Community Center. The role emphasizes safety, engagement, and collaboration with local partners to meet program goals.

The ideal candidate will bring patience and enthusiasm, a high school diploma or GED, and experience with youth programs; having an associate's degree and a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED is required.
• Associate's Degree preferred in human services, psychology, or related field.
• 2 years of experience working with youth preferred.
• Experience in event programming and coordination preferred.
• Driver's License and insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs for youth ages 13-21.
• Follow NYS safety guidelines; knowledge of racial/social justice; activities.
• Collaborate with STCC / CHWC staff and partners to achieve program goals.
• Assist supervising and ensure safety of enrolled youth.
• Conflict management.
• Active engagement in all activities and programs.
• Maintain knowledge of current best practices in Positive Youth Development.
