Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of The Tennessee Valley is seeking a Part-Time Youth Development Associate for our Vestal location. You will lead hands-on activities that spark imagination, learning, and connection beyond the classroom, while fostering a safe and engaging environment for youth.

We value high energy individuals who can plan weekly activities, supervise program spaces, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to create meaningful moments for kids.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years of age.
• 1-2 years of experience with youth preferred.
• Must pass local, state, and national criminal background checks.
• Must pass initial drug screening and subsequent drug tests.
• CPR Certification (post-hire) available via the organization.
• Passion for children.

Responsibilities

• Post weekly plans for parents/guardians and youth.
• Encourage full participation in activities.
• Identify alternative activities that correspond with weekly lesson plans to promote full participation.
• Supervise and monitor program areas to ensure safety of members.
• Attend Club programs, activities, field trips, and other special events.
• Orient volunteers to the Club and oversee volunteers.
